Old houses and how they were built.
Long ago the houses which our fathers and mothers and forefathers lived in were different from nowadays.They were very small ,so low ,that you could leave your hands on the rafters.They were usually built in hollows so that,the wind would not interfere with them.
They were made form "dobuidhe"and few stones.They would get it in cliffs and root it up with "navvie spades" like scoops.The hen's roost used be above the kitchen door,and they used have old dressers ,and a shut at the bottom and the hens used lay in them "little coobs" they would call them.No pictures was seen hanging on(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
