- There was once a very wealthy family living in Limerick who were known to have very valuable jewellery. It happened that one of the ladies of the family died. Before she died she wished that her ring should be buried with her. This was done and she was buried in a vault. Some robbers heard of the jewels and went that same night and robbed it of some of its jewellery but when they went to take off the ring they found it was impossible.
One of the robbers produced a knife and decided to cut it off.
As soon as she drew the blood the lady stirred. The robbers greatly frightened ran away.
