    It the sign of trouble in a house if a cock crows(f) before midnight.
    A hen which crows like a cock is considered unlucky. No machinery should be set working on St Martin's Day as St Martin was a miller.
    It is very lucky to find a four leaf shamrock.
    To find a lost horseshoe is considered very lucky.
