    "Graveyards"
    There are three burial places in Feakle parish.
    One of them is only in use now.There was once an old Catholic church in the Feakle graveyard.The foundation of the church is still to be found running along to where is a vault on the southern side of the present Protestant church.
    Among the many buried there I make special mention of three noted characters namely Biddy Early, Concubhair Thaidh and Brian Merryman the author of the famous Irish poet,"Cuairt an Meadhon Oidhche."
    The next burial place is in Lower Gurrane or Leapfield,
    where in recent years unbaptized infants have been buried .But in former times when hunger and plague were in this country several people,
    sometimes uncoffined were buried there.
    (died of hunger) At one time a poor man died of hunger and was brought there in a sheet as no coffin could be afforded for him.His son stood by the graveside and on seeing his father about to
