  1. Bill Naughton was a farmer who resided in Killenana in the Parish of Feakle about 50 years ago. He was a good strong well built man he won prizes in every part of Ireland for running. On one occasion he went to visit some friends in Drimecharley in the Parish of Tulla. While there he happened to be at Mass on Sunday and on going in he was asked by a man at the door why he was not at the Sports in Ennis, he was surprised and said he did not know anything about them but perhaps I may be in time yet so he heard Mass and left
