    On the brow of the river Graney in Scariff there are the ruins of an old building yet to be seen. It was once a Mill and about seventy years ago cars could be seen coming from east Clare with loads of corn to be ground. Carding, weaving, and bakery, were also there. There were many people working there and their wages was great help to their people at home. But alas one night it went up on fire and the wise old men at that time said it was no accident but to get the young men that were working in it to join the
