Ar an leathanach seo
- There are three "Fairy Forts" in the townland of Lavey, one in a field owned by Mr Thomas King, another in a field owned by Mr Michael MacDonald and the other in Mr John Cusack's field. They are called forts and are all within view of one another.
Round each fort there is a circular mound of earth and shrubs. There is an entrance path to each fort, and this path is called a cow-path. There is no entrance hole in the centre or elsewhere in any of them.
These forts are supposed to have been built by the Danes and to have been used for war purposes.
The old people believed that these forts were the place of abode of the fairies or the "Good People".
The old people nor even the people living in the neighbourhood of these forts at the present day would not interfere with them in any way. Many people are afraid to enter them at night. It is considered(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
