The Ballycumber Road leads to Ballycumber and it passes through Clonshanny.
There are no accounts as to when these roads were made but the New Road was made when the railway was made.
There aer some old roads in the district. The Curragh Road goes past our house, Fitz Patrick's house and Kief's house. It leads to fields.
The Sandpit Road leads from the Church to the sandpits and on to Aughmore Road.
There is very old road that goes along the top of the hills.
These foards are still used. The Curragh Road is being made better at present.
Church Street was made as relief work during the famine. The rate of pay was sixpense per day.
There are some by-ways in the district.
Bedore the bridge was made at the back of the teacher's house there was a ford.
At Lismoyney crossroads there are dances. They play pitch and toss and cards at other cross-roads. There is a stone on the Kilbride Road that marks where a priest was killed off of a horse and when a funeral is passing it stops and the people take off their hats.
