    There are many old ruins in this district. There are the ruins of Castleboro Cloughbawn and Chapel.
    When King James fled from the Battle of the Boyne he stayed in Castle Boro. Lord Carew did not know who his guest was.
    When morning came King James took off his ring and gave it to him. And on it was written the Royal Insignia. Then he knew who his guest was.
    The old ruins of Cloughbawn are behind the new church. It was burned by the yeomen in the year 1801. The ruins are now a part of the out offices of the Parochial House.
    There are the ruins of an old church in Chapel. Long ago there was a pattern held on the nineth of June. There is a Holy Well there also, by the name of Saint Francis Well. Drink and
