    People long ago never wore any boots or shoes until they were able to earn money to buy a pair for themselves.
    I read that some people never wore any boots or shoes. Those people lived in Connemera. Some clogs are worn and made locally in County Wexford.
    Fifty or sixty years ago people by the name of Larkin of Ballyeden made clogs. Clogs were worn and the leather was made in New Ross.
    An old saying is a stitch in time saves nine. When brouges were made at home a rude person was always referred to as ignorant as a khiosh of brouges. A khiosh was what they carried their brouges in on a warm day.
