  1. I heard of a man who was swimming in Lough Ree one day. He put a penny into the water and he started diving for it. But he went down this time under the water and started swimming outward and soon found that it was getting deeper. He was thinking of coming up to the surface when he saw something shining at the bottom of the lake. Then he came up to the surface to get breath and went back down again to see what it was. When he went down it was a big box with some writing carved on it. He stooped down and picked it up. Then he heard noise behind him and he turned round to see what it was. About fifty yards from him he saw an animal with wings coming towards him and he left the box fall and swam for his life and he did not try to to swim there anymore.
