    There is a fairy fort at Jimmy Gerety's of Doorcy in the Parish of Carrickedmond. It is a circular fort and it covers about half an acre of land. There was a row of white thorn bushes around it. In the middle of the fort there is a big white thorn bush. The year the turf could not be got dry Jimmy Geretys father cut the white-thorn bushes around the fort down for fire wood. One evening Mick Reilly of Carrickedmond took a short cut through the fort going home from working. He was led astray and he went about a half a mile out of his way. He believed that he was led away by the good people.
