- (continued from previous page)Easter Sunday is another great feast. On this day the children try who will eat the most eggs. We often eat five or six eggs each.
On Hallow Eve we duck for apples or money in water.
- May day we put up a May bush decorated with every kind of wild flowers We tie little bunches of the flowers with long coloured ribbons so that they would fly with the wind.
Sts Peter and Paul's day we light a bon-fire. - Shrove Tuesday is kept by making pancakes and a ring is put in one of the pancakes and it is said whoever gets the ring will be married first.
We get ashes on Ash Wednesday. Sts Peter and Pauls Day we light a bon-fire. On All Souls Day we eat colcannon.(continues on next page) - Collector
