- About sixty years ago there lived a man in the townland of Beneden, in the parish Lissycasey, and in the Co. Clare. The man's name was Andrew Doddy and he was away in Scotland. One night as he was travelling tired and fatigued from his journey. He went in to a castle to look for lodgings and there was no one in the castle and he asked the man "in the next" house to know could, he stay in the castle for a night. The man said he could, but every man that lodged in that castle was dead in the morning Andrew said, "I don't mind if I am dead in the morning because I am tired and tired of my life."
He went into the castle and he put down a fire and seated himself on a stool infront of the fire. He had no light only the light of the fire. About twelve oclock in the night the castle began to shake and Andrew got very terrified and a giant came down the chimney and seated himself at the right side of him and he heard the castle to shake again and the second giant came down the(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
