- 'Templetuohy' means 'country temple'. Its former name was Killbragh, spelt 'Cill Breágh' which means 'Fine Church'. Tradition holds that Templetuohy or 'Teampoll na Tuaithe' is so called from the fact that the principal church in the parish was situated here.'Templeree' means 'the Church of the King'. The main road from Dublin to Cork, long ago, ran through this place, and it is said that there was a church here, dedicated to Christ the King, and was therefore called 'Teampoll na Rí' or 'Templeree' because two kings are buried there. 'Clonboo' This townland is also known as 'Glenboo' which means 'the Glen (or 'meadow') of Victory'. When Roderick O'Connor was marching from Dublin to Thurles in 1174, he was met by an enemy at Castlefleming(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
