About twenty years ago there was a coursing in Tullaroan, and the people had the Moat field, as a park for the hares. Eight or nine hares got lost and went in to a rabbit borough. Some of the people went and dug to get the hares out, at nine o'clock in the night. James Maher, a native of Tullaroan, saw something bright while they were digging. He got up early next morning and went to see what it was. It was a heavy bronze cup. He took it home and examined it. He gave it to Mr Dillon a neighbour, who has it still.- Bailitheoir
