  1. Once upon a time there was a boy named James Taylor who was going to compete in sports. His mother did not want him to go but she had no way of stopping him.
    At last she thought of a plan she said she would wash his best clothes and then he could not go.
    Next morning the boy asked his mother to get his clothes for him and she said that they were not dry. He went out and put on the wet clothes and set off for the sports. He walked eighty six miles to the sports and ran a race and won it.
    This was a wonderful feat for one day. James Taylor lived near Battlebridge in the parish of Ardcarne.
