- Travelling folk still call to our house. One particular family is named the "Paddie Faddie Vigs". They come to our district every Summer and stop a few days in each house. A little man of this family is named "Micky Shot-ass. This family has been continuously coming for many years. Every-body has a welcome because the old saying is "Keep the traveller's anger away". They are poor but Micky sings in each house and the neighbours gather in to see him do recitations and they do usually give him pennies. They sleep in the barn in a bed, on the floor. Another family is named the Larmers. They come from Clogher on donkeys three of them. They are very poor and when they come they ask for boiled potatoes, eggs, sometimes shoes or clothes they are very thankful indeed.
Old Mrs Larmer tells many stories of olden times and of how they and other travellers were evicted. She say her fathers name was "Lord Tynan(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
