    any Irish, and I never heard them tell any stories. The name of my townland is mentioned in no song round my district. Some of the land is very good, but there is some of it hilly and wet. There is only one wood growing in it, and it is called Mc Hugh's wood. It is situated in Mc Hugh's land. It is not very big, although there is a large number of trees and bushes growing in it. There is a river (growing) running in our townland and it is called the Foerish. There is no lake in it. There is no strange stories told about my townland.
    The name of my townland is Carrownadargney, there are also many other townlands in it. as my district is Geevagh, and Geevagh is my parish. It is in the barroney of Tir-Eirill, and it is in the Co. Sligo. There are twenty-six families in it, and about a hundred and five people in it. There are twelve thatched houses in it, and fourteen slated in my townland. Conlon is the most common name in my townland .The name of the townland means the quarter between the two Arigna's. There are quite a number of old people in the parish, and some of them an talk Irish. A great number of people imigrated to America
