    This is another Religious story I have heard. A long time ago, there lived a woman in a cottage near the church. In order to obtain a favour she promised to go every morning to Mass. In order to keep an account of the number of Masses she used to place a small stone in a box, which she kept in a secret place. At the close of the year she went to open the box, and of all the stones she had put in the box she found only a single one.
    A Story is told about a woman who was reduced to poverty and wandered in a state of despair through unfrequented places where a devil appeared to her and spoke thus "You were once well off in a country do now what, I bid you and you will rest as comfortably as you were formerly.
