There are seven people over seventy in the townland. They know very little Irish but some of them can tell stories in English. One of them is Mr john Flannery or Ougham, Bunninadden. At all times the people emigrated to America until a few years ago. After that they began to emigrate to England. The townland is mentioned in a song which was composed by Dr James T Gallagher of Ougham.
