- Local Forges
There are three forges in this parish. The smiths are Tom Gorman or Quarryfield, Patrick Feehily of Bunninadden and Pat Henry of Lugmore. Tom Gorman's forge is situated near the Quarryfield crossroads and about two hundred yards from a stream. The re is a thatched roof on the forge. About fifty years ago Mrs Gorman saw a leprechaun in the corner of the forge. She kept her eyes upon him for some time but after time she was forced to wink and immediately the leprechaun disappeared.(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
