    "The care of the Feet"
Long ago the people used not wear boots until they were eighteen or .nighteen years of age .There was a man living near us who never wore boots. Children go barefooted now, when they hear the cuckoo. People throw out the water that washed their feet, for fear the fairies would come in .
Boots are made in Ennis and Limerick .They are repaired in towns and villages.
There were more shoemakers long ago ,as it was all home- made boots were worn. There are no clogs worn now.
