   interesting stories and is a most amusing person. Everyone enjoys listening to him and although his stories may not be quite true, they are nevertheless very funny and most interesting indeed. Some of the visitors leave about ten and one or two indisceet ones stay till it is very late indeed.

   
   In Donegal and in every part of the Gaeltact practically, nightly visiting is common to a very great extent. It is referred to as the Áirneál and the Céilidhe houses there, are visited by very large numbers every night. The chief feature of it in those places is story-telling by the Seancaidhe of the district who holds his audiences spell-bound.
