- Once upon a time there lived in the townland of Bellair a woman named Rose Williams. One night she dreamt that there was treasure hidden on the lands of her father situated at Liss. She was told that the sod would be reddened and a man appeared with ribbons on his hat and left a key on the spinning wheel which stood beside the bed.
She was told also to bring with her a man named Walsh and her brother who were to dig for the gold.They were also to bring with them gamecock which they were to kill. She herself was to faint but they were not to be daunted by that. On awakening she discovered the key and immediately informed her brother and Walsh. Her brother however refused to go as the night grew near he agreed to accompany them. On the intended night they assembled at the Moorock corssroads and proceeded on their way to Liss.
