- About two miles from my house there is a cave in the land of Tinnamuck.A good many years ago a woman was passing this place on her way to a field to tie up her goat when she was two crocks of gold outside the cave. She stood to examine them. Suddenly she heard a noise, when she looked again the gold had disappeared. She heard music and song in the cave.Some years after, a number of men started to dig for the gold. They dug for about a month, when one day one of the men more adventurous than his comrades when further into the cave than the rest and (his) a strange thing happened to his face and eyes.
