    Local Fairs
The local fairs are held in Ferns Ennniscorthy, Oulart and Blackwater.
The fairs are always held in towns.
Buyers often go to the farmers houses and buy pigs and cattle and sheep. Some buyers buy from people going to the fair
    Fairs were discontinued in Oulart.
The fairs were always held in streets.
Luck money is always given by people who sell stock.
When a bargain is made the buyer hits the man who sold the stock on the hand and give him a docket.
Sometimes animals are marked with a pair of scissors and sometimes with a knife and sometime with blue.
When a horse is sold a rope is given with him and sometimes a bridle is given. The best fairs of the year are the fairs in June and December.
