- 273Care of the feet.In former years people did not wear boots until they were ten years of age. Now the boys go barefooted in Summer but it is seldom that you would see girls barefooted. You would never see children except the very poor ones go barefooted in Winter.
I know only two shoemakers in this district, Idont go to the shoemaker to get my shoes repaired for my brother always repairs them for me.
Some people around here wear clogs in Winter but they are very uncomfortable.I dont know any people who never wore boots.
Some people put salt in the water when they are washing their feet. When the feet are washed the water is always thrown out.
