    As I looked up as I looked down
    I saw the Blessed Virgin Mary
    Seven Mass Books in her hand
    Seven priests carrying 7 candles lighting.
    Open the Gates of Heaven, and shut the Gates of Hell
    Let all the Suffering Souls, enter in for Evermore Amen.

    I lay my body down to sleep
    To God I give my Soul to keep
    To sleep now, to sleep ever
    To God I give my Soul for ever.
    If death comes tonight to me.
    Lord Jesus waken me.

    Good-night, my good Angel
    You watched over me during the day
    Watch over me during the night
    And grant that I may be always good and wise
