  2. The town I live in is called Lanesborough in the Parish of Rathcline in the barony of Rathcline also. There are thirty six families in Lanesboro'. The most common name is Farrell. All the houses are mostly all newly slated ones except a few. The others are thatched.
    The old name of this town was Ballyleague
