    The people of Ireland celebrate St Patrick's day by wearing the shamrock. It is the greatest feast of the year in this country.
    St Stephens day is a very enjoyable day in this part of the country as everyone goes out hunting the wren. Some parties are good with a slogan. "The Wren, The Wren, the king of all birds. On St Stephens day he was caught in the furze. Although he is small his honour is great, rise up landlady and give us a treat. Some go in bands on that day and brings good music with them others go on their own in one with no music, only a box for holding the money.
