Her house was in the field still known as Polly's field.
She lived alone and people said she was able to work witchcraft.
Anyway a hare used to run around the fields that no dog could catch. Sombody said if he got a black dog without a single white hair he would (he would)catch the hare so they got the dog and chased(continues on next page)
