    Winter is the time for story telling and every one delights in this form of amusement especially the children.
    One night last Winter as I was sitting by the fire I heard the following story:- In this parish there lived a woman named Mrs Hayes and it is said that fairies took her away and it happened thus. She went out to milk the goats one Winter's evening and she did not come back. Her husband Tom went out after a while and there was the can and the goats but no traces of herself. He came in
