  1. Accounts are still given by the old people of the houses that existed long ago. Some of these are still in use and many are still in the district.
    The walls of these were built with mud and they were roofed with straw.
    Many of them had beds in the kitchen. They were called settle beds and some of them had mattresses of chaff and straw. They were folded up in the daytime and used as tables and seats.
    The fireplaces were in the centre wall. The
