  1. About fifty years ago there lived a woman named Mary Tighe. She lived alone in a house in Mulliganstown. She was a very wicked woman and went by the name of Red Maura.
    She always said to anyone that vexed or anoyed her that after her death she would come back and choke them. The neighbours were all afraid of her . When she died my great grandfather Thomas Connel had charge of her funeral arrangements. So while he was in Delvin for the coffin they left a man named Johnny Larkin in charge. This Johnny
