  1. My great grandfather used to make baskets long ago. He used to make them of red sallies and he used to make a good many he would make one for who ever asked him. He used to make potato baskets and turf baskets. He does not make them now because he is dead, "Lord have mercy on his soul." John Castles makes baskets still. The nearest forge to me is Delvin and Jack Mullan is the name of the man that is in it. He is in it since it was opened. He makes spades, and ploughs and gates and he mends fire cranes some times and he put's shoes on horses. First thing he does when he is going to make a spade.
