   Potatoes are grown on most farms in my district. About three quarters of an acre is taken up under them. My Father prepares the ground with the plough. They are mostly planted in drills which are made with a plough. Then the manure is spread along the bottom of the drills and the potatoes are dropped about ten inches apart on the manure. Then the drills are closed with a plough There is and old plough made of wood over at Walkers but it is never used. In June they are sprayed with melted bluestome Then in October they are dug up by means of a plough and stored
