  2. Graveyards
    There are two graveyards in this parish. Long ago there used to be three, Mountown, Templekiernan, and Staffordstown. Staffordstown graveyard has not been used for some years now.
    As you go into Mountown graveyard, on the left there is a little hollow. Long ago they used to bring the corpse around this hollow three times in honour of the Father, Son and the Holy Ghost. there are also the ruins of an old chapel in it. This was the chapel that the monks used to go to mass in .
