Thomas Keating was a famous tailor in Ardfinnan about forty years ago. Thomas Dennehy, and Robert Humphrey were also good tailors at that time. Mrs Keating wife of T. Keating was also a splendid dressmaker, and employed several girls;- she always had a lot of work on hands. She and her husband often,- in the busy season - worked till two - oclock in the morning,- having started, perhaps, at six six oclock.
There is neither a tailor , nor dressmaker working in the Village of Ardfinnan now.
