  1. Travelling Folk
Many poor people, known as '' travelling people, used visit my mother's house in Knockballinira long ago, seeking for a night's shelter, which they always got as well as food. One , in particular was a very clever old man, his name was Daniel Woods. He used tell them great stories both in English and Irish.
My mother's name is Mrs Margaret Doran, she lives in Rochestown, since she was married.
Knockballinira is very near the Knockmealdown Mountains Co Tipperary.
