    1. As I lay on my right hand side,
    I pray to God to be my guide,
    If I die before I wake,
    I pray to God my soul to take.
    There are four corners round my bed,
    And four angels round it spread,
    Matthew, (Mary) Mark, Saint Luke and John
    May God Almighty bless the bed that I lay on.
