    Dr. Bray, Archbishop of Cashel belonged to a family of that name much respected in and around Fethard He was a very gifted and talented ecclesiatic.
    The first president of the Ecclesiastical College at Thurles (founed by the magnificent bequest of Dr Everard) was the Very Rev. Dr OConnor, a native of Fethard. It seemed fitting that a fellow townsman of Dr Everards should preside over the college in its infancy.
