The most harmful weeds growing in a garden are - priseac, because it spreads rapidly and impoverish the soil, spunk and lambs quarter, because they spread rapidly and also impoverish the soil, and fox tail because it spreads rapidly. Lambs quarter grounsel grow in only rich soil. The dock leaf cures the sting of an nettle. House Leaks cures corns. Rib grass cures, cuts, and hurts. Grounsel cures prods of thorns and bruises. The wart weed cures warts. Robin-run-the-hedge cures, boils, piles, and ringworms, and other blood diseases. Wild Thyme cures toothache. Watercress cures yellow jaundice. A small plant with a pale green colour, and a reddish Spot in the middle of each leaf, and a red flower, is generally found in moory places. It is sometimes called the blood flower or the wild sweet William. It is thought that when our Blessed Lord was dying on the Cross a drop of his blood fell on the leaf of this plant, and since then the mark of the
