  1. Two men from Templetuohy went out to hunt for hares in Longorchard Bog on a May morning many years ago. They came upon a hare and after a long hunt one of the dogs caught the hare by one of the legs just before it got into the wall of a ruined house. The men went to the other side of the wall and saw an old woman sitting on a rock looking as if in great pain. They asked her to get up and let them look for the hare. She did so, but one of the men looking at her saw a wound in her leg and the mark of the dog's teeth around the wound. The men were frightened and went home. On their way they met a neighbour and told him of their adventure. He said that the same thing
