Ar an leathanach seo

  1. St Ruadhan is the patron saint of this parish. He was born about the year 500 a few years after the death of St Patrick and he died on the fifteenth of April 584.
    St Ruadhan established a monastery at Lorrha but as it was built of wood no trace of it now remains. St Ruadhan worked three miracles. He is buried at Lorrha but the exact place where the grave is, is unknown.
    St Ruadhan's feast day is not observed as a holiday in the parish.
    St Ruadhan studied in St Finian's school at Clonard and he is one of the " Twelve Apostles of Ireland ".
    The Cursing of Tara " was the incident which brought St Ruadhan prominently into Irish History.
