  1. There was a Barrett girl living near Ardagh. The good people thought her so handsome that they carried her away into the Fort. When they had her in the fort they gave her everything she could wish for. They kept her there for a day and a night but she refused to taste either food or drink. As she would not eat their food they had no power over her and had to leave her home.
