    having a fence of earth and stones around each one. The people in the olden times are supposed to have built them for barracks. The owners never interfered them except to plough them. One of these forts is in a field called Páirc a Phiobaire where music used to be heard long ago. There is a shore under Tim Regan's fort and lights used to be seen there long ago.
