  1. The landlords in this district were Mr Hornibrook and Mr Frewen They were looked upon as very bad people. The people that were evicted were Micheal Kelly of Ballyhooleen and Con Aherne of Corran. The landlords were English settlers. They had not power to punish people. Tithes were collected in this district for the protestant Church. They were collected in money. Fere fought between the landlords and the tenants
