    lough a short distance north of Crookhaven. Long ago it was seen in different shapes. St. Patrick banished him into the lake when he came to Ireland on a May evening. On every seventh May evening he is supposed to be seen near the lake. Attempts were not made to capture him as the people were afraid to go near him.
