  1. Near the Mizen Head which is about seven miles west of the village of Crookhaven, there is a rock and on it is the print of a priest's foot. It is believed that during the time of the Penal Laws in Ireland, a priest was saying Mass in a place called Sheep's Head in Berehaven when a flock of soldiers chased him. He jumped from that place to a place near the Mizen and the rock where he put his foot, the print of it came out on the rock. Today there is water on the print and it is believed to cure warts.
